Ah the joys of a wonky screen....
Yes you will see this if your browser works properly but apparently mine doesn't.

Finally getting time to work on the baby books

All are done with A Baby Story - Girl kit by Amanda Rockwell for a challenge at Elemental Scraps.

This one is based on a layout idea by Sherri Tierney for the September 16 baby book challenge at ES.

Menu Planning

Wow! It seems like ages since I actually planned a menu. And with the re-newed adventures of become vegan again, its been a bit of a challenge. But I just spent an hour on RecipeZaar.com and have come up with what will likely be a workable menu for us for the week. So I guess shopping is the top of the plan after school tomorrow. If you find some time to venture on over to Recipezaar, I'm sure you'll find something you love on there... with the added bonus of being able to print out a shopping list and plan a menu! :)

Another busy day in FO land! :)!

Saw this Map material on sale at Joanns a little while ago but haven't had the time to put it together.... but here it is.... the girls gave me the opportunity to work on it. It will hang on the wall in our school room. I will probably change the back so that we could use it as a felt board too, just flip it over and stick things on! Now that would be cool.

I also managed to finish off the hat for my 2nd OOOH Baby Garter Stitch Sweater. So now all I have to do is finished the booties off (sew and weave in) thenadd the buttons to the sweater and voila ... anther FO! YA!

Katja and Productive Day

Wow, a productive day here.

I got a new stove, finally got a pic of the Katja tank from Knitty that I'm sending to my dd.

Finished a pumpkin hat complete with leaves

And sewed a blanket all in one day.
The blanket is for a friend of my mum's g-baby who was born at 7 months gestation... she's 3.5 lbs and in need of warm things, so I'm scouring the net looking for ideas.

Thoughts with Susan

I used to be on the creative team for and awesome designer Susan Godfrey. In June they found out that their expected child would have Potter's Syndrome (complete agenesis of the Kidneys.) This is a syndrome incompatible with life and if the baby did survive it wouldn't live for very long due to undeveloped lungs. This would be their 2nd child with this syndrome - which is exceptionally rare (ie rare to have 2 with the same syndrome, unless there is a renal issue in the family.)

On September 8th, she posted her last post before the expected delivery date of Sept 12. Her hopes were that she could deliver the baby without a c-section. My thoughts have been with her ever since. Susan if you ever make it over here, please know that you've been in my thoughts and I'm sending all the positive thoughts and strength I can your way! ((Hugs))

Scrap Migration Complete

I've shut down the old scrapbooking blog that I had and brought the two together here! So if you scroll back through old posts you'll see that I found a love for Scrapbooking back in April of 2006 (that is when the entries start! So there you have it!
